I am going to pop 2 panadols (as B always tells me that panadols come in pairs) and sleep. Going to fall sick again. Maybe the 8th time this year, damn weak. I have a problem.

It is the weekend again and the fat pig books out, and the first thing I did was to keep laughing at his ridiculously short hair as if he was in bPt, basic Po lice training.
And boy, I missed him.
So off we went to satisfy all week long craving at Botak again, my mom laughed when we told her we are going there and she said, "Haha botak go botak jones and eat!" Heehee. I know we have been eating there alot, but it was really good and never fell short of our expectations!

And we roamed around good ol bishan waiting for our movie Red Cliff which starts 1140pm and it was alot of coffee talk for us, and time to catch up after one whole week of 10minute late conversations before the pig falls to sleep or me being distracted with the internet.

Yes we watch super alot of movies but Red Cliff was so good! It wins hancock hands down man, even though i dont really understand the Cao Cao and all the Chinese history thing, but B explained to me as the movie started to unfold in its glory and man, but YN was damn right, it had a super abrupt ending. hmphzxzxz. I am sure to catch the sequel.

Haha that was what he got for irritating me non stop the whole night, and for a Man man MCP he was so embarrassed he tried to rub it off but he failed! Heh

Sigh its the sunday again and after tuition we left the house tgt but this time i had to head home myself without my ipod (!!!!!!!!) I hereby label my ipod a need, and a daily neccesity. Even though tkbk would beg to differ! But hell the ride back was so boring even good ol suduko nearly made me fall asleep. (and B would scold me because he has been travelling the same route without the ipod since and this is only my first and i am complaining)

It was the lazy weekend (again!) and on Sat we had CBSI in which yes got me intrigued by the wonders and great power of God's love and how vulnerable we are to the society norms. Sunday I had lazy late brunch with Mumsie and it was a Mum daughter kinda thing I loved it, where the afternoon saw me giving B's sis tuition, something which I do enjoy alot :)
When Yingneng asked Col and I about whether we are excited for uni, both of us answered with a straight no because we are too comfortable to give up whatever we are doing... Its gonna be different in 2 weeks time!

All my friends go, "Min you got huge hole in your fringe!"

Showing off my extravagence, my nails

Geylang in the day

And I brought Charmaine down for tuition myself!

And after all the hard work, Jian Dao Jian for dinner! Yums.

And B ordered disgusting pumpkin, which was really gross

Showing off my nails again! And B was like saying how much he had to take more pictures because when he books in (which is like now) he has to cut his hair again. :(

GB Day in School :)

All went well and Jaselyn was my pride and joy because she was so smart as a commander :) GB Days have always been a pride for me because as a student I don on the uniform and stand out from the class and Png and I used to be so weary that our caps would drop during lesson, our boots will be stepped on by our classmates and things like that. The little things that show that we really do take pride in being part of a uniform group! :)

And this time it was entirely different, black and white plus the name tag :)

Two pri school boys crashing secondary school to ask for donations, who can resist, seriously

Lovely people!

My partner in crime :)

And then being the kiasu Saints we rushed back to school to collect our SGCs on the first day that the collections were opened. I collected 3 myself, one for B and one for Wei. It was also when we found out, by the word of mouth that our Msian friend was back and he didnt tell us at all! We were so shocked and even called him to interrogate him hehe. I lent my SGC to Zong, does anyone want?

Look at someone's forced smile :(

And then we saw amanda, without her badge :(

And it was topshop sale shopping which I could buy something i have been eyeing for the longest time and favourite DTF for dinnerrrrrr. Kinda like too much DTF these days, but it was good man. With the company, life talk, and Magnum talk. Who knew Magnum was like 4 bucks now! It used to be 3plus last time!

Okay so i was reading through my juniors blogS and read all about their stepping down and how they really enjoyed their council journey, and it made me smile, because I know and I have been there. And i know that every council journey is unique, it is like a gift from God, right from the day we handed in the nomination forms, and the best way to get the most out of it was to give your most to it. That was exactly why joining council was never a regret for many of us :)

Then i got crazy and went to google search like my full name in the blog search thing and i found 1 particular very funy nasty comment on me being their relief teacher, and it was so hilarious. I quote what a particular teacher said, "Aiyah sian lah, go relief let students hate us only" LOL so i am doing it everyday, pure relief duties, and it is no wonder why this happens. Seriously, with nothing to do nothing to teach and no handphones, mp3s or psps, the students cannot take it one lor! But it was okay you know, missngandyou.blogspot.com had alot of really sweet comments coming from my students and i know this is where it is true.

Anyway, quick updates:

  • got hired back as full time relief, until uni starts

  • am not staying in the hall, gonna take public transport

  • starting to give tuition and i am loving it, p3 maths

  • chionging driving, and i have reached the stage that i dont stall on the main road anymore!

  • miss qihui already

  • B is booking into camp, which means mondays to fridays in isolation

Good night!

Farewell, with much more than just tears

Our silly friend actually didnt want anyone to be down initially so she hid all the details from us and told us she wanted to go explore T3 and shop so no teary goodbyes, but in the end on the night before she left she told us and there are already people heading down!
Managed to rush down after driving at 5, and it takes about an hour to reach the airport by train! Quite efficient i must say. (And thank you B who willingly agreed to postphone dinner date for this) When we reached, the crying has started but we managed to still laugh at silly messages that B helped me text to oefmwcorworvnha and discuss about boys! This is what you get when you put energetic young girls together, endless chatter, even before leaving the country :)

Ziyi, Josh, Qi, Me and B

Melody, Qi, Felicia

Me and Qi, with uncle in the background checking her friends out.

Before we knew it, Uncle came forward and told us all, Okay guys thank you for coming to send her off today, we are going off for our family dinner, thank you all again........ And Qi slowly walked away and started tearing, I just stood there, dumbfounded, unable to do anything, just tearing but smiling at the fact that she is leaving to secure a better future and in 3 years time we will still sit at coffee houses and continue our endless chatter :)

And they slowly strolled away, her mum, dressed in purple, obviously still shaken, and tearing, holding her by the sholder and there I saw my best friend leave. It wasn't the conventional teary goodbye at the glass door with the policeman and the bon voyage signs at departure, but it sure evoked alot of emotions in us, okay maybe i only know for sure myself, that the physical friendship will go on a hiatus. But as what Qi said when she called before she boarded the plane, a phrase I havent heard since prischool, Keep In Contact.

Then B and I headed to Popeye's (to satisfy craving from weeks ago) where I was obviously trying to recover by going on and on about school and the silly things the students do all day long and how I survived the day...Oh, and the mash potato is da bomb, really.

Headed back to J8, periodically checking my watch and B telling me yes she is on the plane now. Caught Hancock, apparently a hit in town, but it was a little short and the little twist was good, other than that, I would have prefered or I was prepared for a more Action packed movie. :)

Why am I not worried?

Well everyone knows that I blogsurf, but today as I was blogsurfing I found out that people are getting into Halls, and Camps and Activities like Rag Week in school and I am here bumming my life away indulging in my secondary school and jc friends and I am so not forward to getting into any LPP or SEP or USP whats wrong with me!

7/06/2008 12:53:00 PM Y

Even though we didn't do exactly well to be on the invite list back for prizes (but good money man!) but who says we can't hit school without being invited, well the 3 of us were on guest list so we insisted we should sit with the parents instead of upstairs where the alumni is supposed to be seated with the schooling people. ;)

Thats B taking his award, well he had a bit of screwup cuz he walked away before they could present him his second award! (and thus he had to walk back, right on stage) Hah, he was so embarrassed after that.

The CO, amazingly strong and played Way Back into Love so well!

At the last part they got ex saints, and teachers who were saints, to dance and sing a fairly cute song about how they wanna get back into college, and we did the 3basic cheers after that, Colleen and I just screamed and screamed, man it spells nostalgic.

And of course we cannot end the even without the veteran leading us in the school song and his signature Glory glory Hallelujah.

Shirley Koh, classmate and bestie who lived up to expectations

Juan, future doctor

Of course, what is an event without councillors, doing all the saikang (again!)

Stepping Down is bittersweet, people. Yes we cried and cried and missed being a councillor that we closed the SC the day we stepped down and we just skipped lectures and rested and talked and took photos. So, treasure the moment. Stepping Down would mark the end of a journey, even though you do get to keep the friends, the close ones. As long as you've done your best in your term, you've done all that you've set out to do, there should be no regrets. (:

B and I

Colleen dear

And then we bid farewell to B who walked us to the MRT, and the two of us proceeded on with our catch up which was timely and very much essential huh, Chan.

Of God, guys, and decisions, Cheers.

When people started warming up the dacefloor and our freeflow were over (oh and seeing secondary school friends), we left home club to hit the streets with potato chips and water, with the screams from the bungee and extreme swing entertaining us.

"B be careful okay, i am a policeman i know, youre at a hotspot....."

Funny how we had to drag ourselves home at the end of the day, not because we are tired (even after 5hours of talking) but because we had to! Friendship, to infinity and beyond!

Amazing.

Thank you Jo for such an amazing email I was so touched by it, how innocent these kids are when they pray and it puts us to shame, how difficult it is for us to do our QT everynight, with excuses from all directions, oh i ve got exams, oh i ve to wake up early tmr, oh i ll do it tmr not today, and tmr never comes.

We all need to learn to be a child-like christian. (and amazingly again, this was what I did for QT some time back)

Yay my floor lift's gonna be ready soooon ,but that means less lazy mornings because the drillings drive one crazy. I know people who visit me often like Png would rejoice at this because they are so lazy to walk they usually climb the stairs to get up (heehee)

Tuesday;1 July 2008
I started the day with a call for relief duties in school (YAY!) and I saw my old students, they laughed at my hair, one even exclaimed WTF right into my face but we all burst out laughing, its definitely sweet to see them all again and esp them stopping in my paths just to look at my haircut or exclaim a loud HELLO MISS NG.
And B was so cheesy and told me, hey its going to be the 7th in 6days!
Then I met him over at Aston Villa (or Mansion or what) and I had bought donuts from the day before with Qi for him and he was pleasantly surprised, especially with his childish fave flavour, and we spent the cloudy afternoon by the pool reading and chillaxing and I was totally soaking in the chillax-ness, I can barely remember the paperchase that is going to come early August....

B and his cookies and cream, but why does he look, bored

"Look baby, I've got ugly bangs like you!" :(

He was at this silly thing for like close to half an hour just trying to write on the stone wall, and he had to keep doing it cuz the water kept evaporating, LOL so much for his A for physics :P

Reading is damn good
And Geylang rocks, I got to eat what I ve been craving for days since I saw "jian dao jian" at wisma's food republic, B didnt let me eat that and said I had to try the original geylang one. We reached when they just started and it was.......... damn good. (i was thinking of all the proper words, surreal, delicious, and what not it was so good that words cant describe) okay i may be exagerrating but i am a sucker for those gravy they have on mixed rice, and this gravy's the BOMB.

its so good!

so after a late lunch/early dinner the pig falls off to sleep on the bus

And I went to meet Png for our Penelope movie date and we were just on time but we didnt have tickets so we cheated by going to the phone line counter which is nearly empty while all the other lines at cathay amk are like snaking out of the cinema, at least 20 people in each line of queue. Thank God the lady allowed us to slyly cut the queue and get our tickets and get into the cinema just in time! What an experience, we dont really do this kinda shit things often huh, but who cares much about face with girlfriends around :)

6/30/2008 11:14:00 PM Y

I returned home today to a very clean and neat room : ) for all the work done last night, worth it! Today B came over with breakfast for me after his night duty and a severe lack of sleep (just to make me :), damn sweet) and out to meet Jo for lunch. I drove again today and I stalled twice on the main road, the accelerator like cannot detect my foot, or rather i was too rough the last lesson and today i decided to use less energy and now this happened, and it was chillax time in town with Qi, before she leaves for Aus, I can't believe how time flies and now i am at the stage of life where friends are going overseas and we pick up new habits, new friends and adapt to a new environment altogether, I don't think I am ready.

Dad: "Of all people you choose a policeman!!"

Lunch for a special mission :)

Heehee we burst out in fits of laughter after seeing this picture

After driving and in town reading Adultery Club at fave Starbucks!

She loved my bangs (but shes only one of the rare few :( )

Trying to get the perfect shot but it was so difficult!

Super satisfied face after buying her ipod nano, from funan which we managed to get many freebies (HAH I KNOW, very aunty)
Dinner at DTF

The xiaolongbaos are the bomb, and I was so afraid Aussie would not have them so I purposely ordered it!

When you're leaving SG soon you ll have lots to tend to on the phone

And after some shopping around at Raffles City we settled down for all time favourite Cookie Dough and Cookies and Cream! Slurps!

Brand new ipod nano :)

Halfway through the night we both know that this 9years of friendship was made to last, however it totally struck me that this dainty lady's gonna leave in like a matter of days and all these hanging out would make me miss her presence even more :(

It is amazing how friends can go out of the way for one another, even though we dont see each other very often, sat down at a coffee joint where your other friend is reading and waiting for you and get a frap yourself and start talking and catching up, like how we took a bus and walked quite far to funan just to get good deals for an ipod, assure each other that hey even though i can see your bra from that shirt you still look good, even though that hair is a little childish you look good (HAHA!), and the thousands of camwhoring pictures we took and laughing at each other's "if you post this you'll die" pictures.... and it goes on.

xoxo to you my best study buddy

3:10am

And I ve just finished packing the worst mess my room has ever seen. Seriously, Cleo magazines dated from 2005, TONS of Time (which most jc students buy to make themselves do better for gp, but almost half are still in the cover envelope), all my Alevels notes (anyone wants?), tons of stationery, and alot of bills (i should opt for singtel paperless billing, i know).

Oh and my sole motivation the whole night was: to look for my favourite $7pen (i refer to it as the 7dollar pen because it doesnt look 7 bucks and everyone sneers when they hear of its price but i loved it, oh and when i told B he was disappointed because he bought it! and he, like everyone thought its not worth it as well hah)

Oh and he took my Adultery Club for duty and he says he is not interested in it anymore! Just when i thought only women are fickle.

Maybe to save on all this trouble I should pack my room every so often. Good night, I am going to die if they call me for relief tmr.
